===== Heeley Original ===== The original Sheffield Boulder was at Heeley. Designed by Al Williams it remains, in the opinion of many, the best of all of them. Over the years many people have added their own problems to the boulder, some have been documented for others with the addition of small dabs of paint by the holds, others have been lost in the mist of time, some have in the past produced their own guides and topos and others are passed on using the age old tradition of word of mouth. ~~ More examples: http://dokuwiki.org/plugin:openlayersmap 53.360865,-1.471382,0,0.8,peak.png,Heeley Boulder \\ internal link: Heeley Original 53.3615301,-1.470808,0,0.8,peak.png,Heeley Boulder (Sheaf) \\ internal link:Heeley Boulder (Sheaf) ===== Layout ===== The boulder is a crude T-shape and has in essence four faces. A simple topo exists on a plaque near to the boulder and is shown below. Because of the vast number of holds and options for eliminates this topo describes it in six sections. * North Slab * East Slab * The Nose * West Wall * South Wall * The Prow ===== Existing Resources ===== No attempt has yet been made to translate these problems and traverses into the topos presented here. Could this boulder have been the original inspiration for Al Williams to create the Heeley Boulder? It certainly climbed like the Heeley Boulder, albeit a little sandier and more friable. ...but with a slightly nicer backdrop...
